Job description

Expand your Nursing skills into a Management role. We currently have a temporary full-time Resident LPN Manager (RLM) position at Villa Marguerite.


Reporting to the Care Manager, the Resident LPN Manager (RLM) provides leadership, support, direction and supervision to the front-line nursing staff on an ongoing basis.

The RLM plays a key role in taking the lead in the Resident's assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care according to the Resident's individualized Care Plan.

The RLM is responsible for facilitating the quality improvement in Resident care by evaluating and monitoring the processes in the care units.

The RLM accepts responsibility for continuing competencies through ongoing professional development including participation in education programs, research and continuous quality improvement activities and works within the scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

Qualifications:

  • LPN registered with C.L.P.N.A. in good standing
  • Valid C.P.R. certificate
  • Strong clinical skills & comprehensive knowledge of best practice
  • Experience working with senior, young, disabled & those requiring mental health support
  • Previous experience in DSL is a definite asset
  • Strong Leadership, team building & organizational skills
  • Positive attitude with strong personal work ethic
  • Previous management experience is an asset
  • Ability to work well & meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment
  • Clear criminal record security clearance with vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
  • General computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Position requires flexibility in working hours in order to meet the needs of the staff.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a changing environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
