Job Description

The Director of Governance and Planning for Information Risk Assurance and Technology Risk Management plays a crucial role requiring leadership, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration and organizational skills. Reporting to the Vice President of ICAT and TRM, this role involves developing, driving, and monitoring mandates and roadmaps for ICAT and TRM teams at enterprise and segment levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direction and support for managing execution, governance, planning, and day-to-day initiatives
  • Offer oversight, training, and best PMO practices
  • Prepare executive presentations
  • Ensure management's understanding of risk treatments through proper governance reporting
  • Maintain relationships with internal customers and peers
  • Lead governance needs of Information Risk Assurance and Technology Risk teams
  • Drive planning, forecasting, and financial management for TRM and ICAT teams
  • Manage ICAT Governance Operating Model and execution roadmaps
  • Lead project management of internal TRM and ICAT initiatives
  • Coordinate ICAT or TRM regulatory interactions
  • Address vendor-related activities
  • Lead the Governance team
This role oversees a team and collaborates with resources.

Job Requirements (Experience/Knowledge/Skills)
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership in Governance, Program Management, Assurance, Project Management, Information Security, Business Resiliency, or Technology Risk
  • Experience in Change Management and implementing multiple projects
  • Audit or oversight experience preferred
  • Risk advisory consulting experience preferred
  • Understanding of best practices and relevant industry frameworks
  • Communication skills to explain technical information to non-technologists
  • Competencies in collaboration, problem-solving, and influencing risk decisions
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canada regulatory environments
  • University degree in related discipline
