Compliance Consultant, Canada Operations

**Description: - Permanent Full Time-
What you will do:
  • Provide advice and support to the Canada Operations teams on compliance, including inputs for the development of tools, training, policies and procedures to support strong compliance practices
  • Provide inputs to support the identification of compliance risk and the development and monitoring of compliance controls for specific legislation/regulation; reporting on results; implementing remediation plans to address any gaps; and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Liaise with business partners, including Canada Operations; 2nd line and Corporate Compliance teams; Legal; Advisor Compliance and other departments.
  • Identify root causes of compliance problems and find solutions and resolutions.
  • Facilitate training related to regulatory changes to multiple audiences,including presenting and deploying changes to impacted teams.
  • Assist with the development of communications of regulatory compliance changes.
  • Support team workflow by monitoring and assigning compliance queries received in the team mailbox

  • Strong working knowledge of wealth and insurance products and processes
  • Committed to lifelong learning and personal /professional development.
  • Fluent in English and French is a requirement
  • The base salary for this position is between
    $54,300.

00:
- $100,000.00 **annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
