We are currently seeking to add a Sulphur Projects Site Supervisor to our team in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Job Type: Full Time
As a Sulpur Projects Site Supervisor you are responsible for the 24 hour oversight of sulpur operations including loading molten sulphur trucks and pouring molten sulphur on a client site in Fort McMurray. You will understand the Standard Operating Procedures and Critical Tasks, and ERP. You will also have excellent customer service skills as you will be interacting with the client, truck drivers and other KBL departments. The shift rotation is 4 days on, 3 days off, flying from either Edmonton International Airport or Calgary International Airport. Camp accommodations and meals are provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for knowing and following the Standard Operating Procedures and mastering critical tasks
· Maintain safety on site, ensuring all KBL's safety policies and procedures are followed.
· Oversee all site crews including site foremen, operators, labourers, flaggers and contractors.
· Liaise with Project Managers to ensure work is being carried out according to the scope of work.
· On-site implementation and monitoring of the Health and Safety programs.
· Supervise all site activity, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with KBL's safety policies.
· Data entry and reporting of costs.
· Ensure QC documentation is completed in the field.
Qualifications:
The individual in this role will have:
· A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
· Valid and current safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, WHIMS, TDG
· 3 - 5 years of oilfields experience in a leadership role
· Previous experience working with Sulphur is an asset
· A strong attention to detail, communication skills and with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
· Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders
· Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
· Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
· A valid and acceptable Driver's license, clean driver's abstract and successful completion of Pre-employment testing.
· Must be able to fly to work and stay away from home for extended periods of time
· Must be able to work outdoors throughout the year
· Must comply with the company's HSE policy as well as compliance with legislation.
