Position:
Accounting Assistant
As a member of a professional and growing real estate management company, you will be responsible to prioritize, coordinate, and organize business tasks with a positive, professional approach in planning, scheduling, communicating, and organizing the activities of your position. You must be able to develop an understanding of the nature of the corporate environment of a Property Management company in order to anticipate its needs.
The day to day role is as follows but is not limited to:
-
Assistance to the Accounting Department as follows:
-
Accounts receivable maintenance: write up deposits, process and post receipts, weekly AR reports, tenant statements, calls and reconciliations

Accounts payable maintenance: receive/code invoices, post payables, process cheque runs, mail out cheques, reconcile vendor statements, maintain filing
:

General administrative assistance to accounting department including tenant letters, tenant updates, bank reconciliations, year-end audit preparation assistance, filing.
Experience required:
-
3-5 years of basic accounting/bookkeeping skills:
-
Working knowledge of MRI and Yardi Software would be considered an asset:
-
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office:
-
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task with an eye for detail:
-
Confident interpersonal communication skills, displaying initiative and problem solving abilities:
-
Personable, pleasant demeanor:
-
