About the role:

Acumatica is seeking a Technical Product Manager - Platform with expertise in web technologies and business management software. This role involves overseeing platform components that empower partners and internal teams to develop top-notch applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of applying development and database technologies to create user-friendly tools for configuring workflows, notifications, and screens within the system. Additionally, the Platform Product Manager will collaborate with engineering to enhance web APIs, web hooks, and system interfaces.

The Platform Technical Product Manager will drive the product roadmap, gather feedback from stakeholders, and liaise with customers, support, sales, developers, and external ISVs to shape product enhancements effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

Product Planning

  • Strategically plan and execute the product roadmap, incorporating feedback from customers and internal teams.
  • Create and maintain external product roadmaps, detailing the benefits of upcoming features.
  • Present comprehensive information to senior management for informed decision-making.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and technology evaluations.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and focus groups to gather requirements and insights.
  • Document and communicate market requirements effectively.

Product Launch Readiness

  • Lead new product release activities and ensure seamless coordination across departments.
  • Work closely with development teams on project plans and functional design documents.
  • Create engaging materials to showcase new features and benefits to partners and customers.
  • Manage beta releases and early adopter programs efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Education teams to deliver effective documentation and training materials.

Program Management

  • Establish and monitor quality metrics, driving continuous improvements.
  • Present design concepts and rationale clearly.
  • Support sales and partners in project discovery and analysis to ensure successful deployments.

Customer Success and Support

  • Become a subject matter expert in platform technologies, workflows, and integrations.
  • Resolve escalations from support, customer success, and implementation teams promptly.
  • Assist in creating knowledge base articles and support documentation.
