We care, collectively and individually for each other, our customers, the environment, and our company's performance. We are seeking a seasoned Business Process and Project Manager Office (PMO) to head our Project Management office.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • The Leader of the Business Process and Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing project management activities, and optimizing business processes across the organization. This role will report directly to the executive leadership team and will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our transformation strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Governance and Standardization:
  • Setting Standards and Processes: The PMO establishes and maintains project management standards and best practices across the organization. This includes defining methodologies, templates, and tools to ensure consistency.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: It ensures that projects comply with organizational policies and standards, conducting regular audits and reviews to maintain quality.Strategic Alignment:
  • Project Portfolio Management: The PMO oversees the project portfolio, ensuring that all projects align with the company's strategic goals and priorities. It helps prioritize projects based on their value and impact on the transformation goals.
  • Resource Allocation: It coordinates the allocation of resources (financial, human, and technological) to ensure that critical projects have the necessary support.Support and Facilitation:
  • Training and Development: The PMO provides training and coaching programs to enable project managers and team members with the necessary skills, mindset and behaviour.
  • Project Support: It offers support services such as project planning, risk management, and performance tracking to project teams.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Tracking and Reporting: The PMO monitors the progress of all projects, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and deliverables.
  • Issue and Risk Management: It identifies, assesses, and manages risks and issues that could impact project success, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.Change Management:
  • Facilitating Change: The PMO, lead by the Change Process Executive, plays a crucial role in managing organizational change by ensuring that projects align with the broader change management strategy. It helps communicate changes, address resistance, and support adoption.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: It engages with stakeholders at all levels to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed, fostering buy-in and support for the transformation initiatives.Continuous Improvement:
  • Learning and Adaptation: The PMO adapts processes and practices based on feedback and evolving needs in order to achieve breakthrough results.In summary, the PMO acts as a centralized entity that drives project excellence, ensures strategic alignment, supports project teams, detects gaps and course corrects, and facilitates effective change management, all of which are crucial for a mid-sized company navigating a period of significant transformation. The PMO promotes the culture of achieving breakthrough goals with watchful eyes.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO OUR TEAM:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and business process improvement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale transformation projects in a mid-sized or large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and business process improvement framework and management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
