JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Oncology Services, the incumbent will assist in the management of all activities related to clinical support (medical secretaries, clerks, records clerks and clinical clerks). As part of their role, this person will be involved in the planning and organization of clinical support staff, the management of human, financial and material resources, staff training, and quality and risk management . The incumbent will ensure the proper use of oncology information management systems (Mosaiq), participate in clinical system updates, and is responsible for managing consultations, medical billing, and monitoring referral response times, as well as managing the medication access staff and ensuring smooth operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in health administration or a health-related field;
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a health care management position;
  • Experience supervising and managing staff, as well as a strong aptitude for coaching;
  • Proven knowledge and experience in clinical care; experience in process development and implementation considered an asset;
  • A combination of training and experience deemed equivalent could be considered;
  • Strong skills in interdisciplinary communication and conflict resolution ;
  • Proven ability to assume a leadership role and as a change agent;
  • Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
  • Ability to manage numerous projects and tasks simultaneously; understanding of the organization's needs and priorities;
  • Analytical, writing and synthesis skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite ;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to motivate and engage people and to act as a change agent;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
