IT Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide technical support to endusers
  • Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals
  • Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and supplies
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, virus scans, and backups
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions
  • Test and evaluate new technology solutions and provide recommendations to management

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Proven work experience as an IT Technician or similar role
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus
  • Manufacturing experience desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, and networking protocols
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

  • May be required to work evenings or weekends
  • May require to lift heavy equipment
  • May be required to travel to different locations within and outside of Manitoba
