Medical Leader

1.Communicate physician- related issues at their primary site to their medical leadership team, operations team and membership (up, down and across organization)
2.Collaborate with other Calgary Zone physician leaders to develop, implement and evaluate models of medical service delivery at their primary site including evaluating physician workload measures.
3.Participate in developing new models of service delivery for the primary site
5.Accountable for participating in the recruitment, training, and orient general internal medicine physicians to their primary site
6.Collaborate with their Department, Section, or Program Heads, and the site leadership team to develop, Implement and evaluate physician recruitment plans for their primary site
7.Communicate with the General Internal Medicine core membership situated at their primary site via written, verbal means and scheduling regular site meetings.
8.Work with the General Internal Medicine section lead and Department of Medicine Site Lead to investigate incidents, related to patient safety and quality of care at the site, while under the care of general internal medicine.This will include responding to the patient complaint mechanism established through Alberta Health Services regarding care at their primary site.
9.Attend the site leadership meetings (if invited) and General Internal Medicine site leadership meetings.
