Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome new patients with a friendly and enthusiastic approach.
  • Takes/facilitates necessary radiographs and photos for consultations/observation patients.
  • Review health history with the patient and/or guardian.
  • Record any history of trauma, pre-medication requirements, and relevant information.
  • Research recorded medication and note any orthodontic contraindication for the Orthodontist.
  • Determine patient and parents' concerns and treatment goals.
  • Introduce the Orthodontist to the family.
  • Assist in examination and data collection.
  • Record data accurately and concisely.
  • Review treatment plans and financial information with patients.
  • Provide informative and illustrative tools for treatment plans.
  • Assist patients in finding suitable payment options.
  • Communicate with patients and families effectively and offer assistance.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain service excellence.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, doctors, and other dental professionals.
  • Requirements:
  • 1 year of Front Office Dental experience considered an asset.
  • Experience as a Treatment Coordinator considered an asset.
  • Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new programs.
  • Knowledge of dental treatment plans and insurance requirements preferred.
  • Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant an asset.
  • Background in clinical work considered an asset.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
