It's a significant Trauma Centre offering diverse opportunities in emergency nursing spanning from Pediatrics to Trauma Care. Licensed Practical Nurses in this unit operate in a cutting-edge facility with electronic tracking systems, where they assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for emergency cases. Decision-making is a team effort in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. As part of this role, you may have to cover various Emergency areas based on directives from the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse. Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are an integral member of an interprofessional healthcare team applying nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Your actions will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skills, and adherence to AHS policies and procedures. Your main responsibility will be delivering safe, top-notch patient and family-focused care while embodying the vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Registration eligibility with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent assessment, organizational, and patient care skills. Effective communication of findings in a clear and precise manner. Strong interpersonal and problems-solving abilities. Capacity to recognize personal learning requirements and seek guidance to address knowledge gaps. Obligation to provide active CLPNA registration proof and maintain it throughout employment.
