Responsibilities

  • Produce and manufacture doors using machines and tools
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Use of power tools
  • Read work orders over before beginning door production manufacturing to ensure you have all necessary information
  • Understand machine processes, paperwork systems and quality standards
  • Assist with coordination of workflow within manufacturing plant and supply chain to expedite production
  • Record any product used that is not on face of work order
  • Advise supervisor of low inventory or other product concerns
  • Keep work area organized and free of debris at the end of the day
  • Check machining, cutting, and processing tolerances against required standards
  • Various other duties as required or directed by management

Requirements:

  • Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (Ability to speak, read and write in English)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Good knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Physical requirements include:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight

The Location - Doorshop in Langford, 1210 Chidlow Connector Rd**Our Door Shop is conveniently located on a major transit route just off of Sooke Road past the Luxton Fairgrounds. One the same property as our Langford Store, the Doorshop provides the production team with state-of-the-art equipment for manufacturing interior and exterior residential and commercial doors. This diverse team works well together by showing mutual respect and collaboration.
