Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:


  • ERP Modules. Have working level knowledge of the features and configuration of the ERP modules and how they interact with the financial modules, with a focus on Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Projects and related Reporting and Integrations.

Operational Support. Providing ongoing operational support for the ERP, track and manage outstanding issues to ensure resolution is achieved. Leverage Hitachi Managed Services for support, capacity, vacation coverage.

Business Analysis. Work with business units to improve existing business processes, document "as is" and "to be" business processes and translate business requirements into functional specification documents for developers. Analysis may require facilitation between multiple business units and divisions to resolve business problems.

Planning & Design. Define and implement business process improvements using ERP technology, propose modifications if standard ERP functionality doesn't meet requirements. Participate in the planning and design of enhancements to the ERP as required.

Testing & Training. Coordinate and perform testing for modifications and upgrades to the ERP. Create and execute test scripts, provide orientation and training to end users while working closely with BITS to identify risk and mitigate using change management practices.

Integrations & Data Migration. Identify integration requirements and solutions where appropriate, including data conversion/migration plan development and execution.

Business Liaison. Establish and maintain relationships with the business and IT to develop a knowledge of business processes and systems to assist with resolution of issues and encourage employees to leverage technology and information. Participate in prioritization discussions regarding enhancement backlogs, bringing metrics and context to assist in building the roadmap.

Projects & Upgrades. Following the BITS project delivery methodology, the analyst will be accountable to deliver small projects and provide critical support on larger initiatives.

Qualifications/Competencies:

Technical

  • University or college degree in Business or Technology
  • 5 years of work experience with modules in an ERP system, preference is Microsoft Dynamics platforms including D365 Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement and Power Platform/Dataverse is preferred
  • Experience in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Production, Manufacturing, Projects, Reporting and Integrations an asset
  • Create and use SQL queries to collect, organize and display data for a variety of purposes
  • Understanding of relational database design and function
  • Excellent understanding of process mapping techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both traditional Waterfall and Agile/Lean methodologies
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Midstream operations is preferred
