Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
  • Provide menus and assist with seating arrangements
  • Answer phone calls and take reservations
  • Manage waitlists and ensure timely seating of guests
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station and lobby
  • Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy
  • Assist with food service when needed, such as delivering food to tables
  • Operate the pointofsale (POS) system for order entry and payment processing

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Strong organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating arrangements efficiently
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations with calmness and professionalism
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette
  • Familiarity with food service procedures and basic knowledge of menu items
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional guest services
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

From $16.55 per hour
