About this Position

We are looking for a Bilingual Licensing Specialist to join our Mutual Fund Licensing Department.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and sort incoming mail
  • Responsible for keying and processing registration renewal and Form 4 fees
  • Responsible for the activation of approved licenses
  • Monitor and update PFS reps information in PFSI systems
  • Process accounting adjustments
  • Perform departmental quality control by recognizing unusual occurrences and bringing them to management's attention
  • Contact agents to collect the missing information
  • Verify the fees received and the entries in Mainframe related to registration fees are balanced
  • Protect the company's authority to do business by complying with legal and ethical standards, policies and procedures
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Postsecondary education or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through related work experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of office experience would be an asset
  • Ability to identify departmental workflow
  • Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions to problems
  • Familiarity with database and mainframe systems is an asset
- understanding of the sense of urgency in terms of dealing with regulatory requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Basic knowledge of accounting would be an asset
  • Ability to interact with senior management as well as technical personnel
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fastpaced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Quick learner and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
