A Senior Director possesses a keen eye for identifying gaps, problems and solutions within the market they serve.

They use their knowledge to help clients make better decisions, solve complex issues and execute new practices that propel clients' businesses toward key objectives.

A Senior Director publishes these insights as pragmatic and/or provocative research.

Additionally, they reinforce Gartner's value every day by engaging clients via virtual meetings, sales support visits, Gartner conferences and industry events.

50% of your work week will be spent on virtual client calls with a wide variety of companies and governments.

On these calls you will answer questions such as – How do we manage custom ERP extensions using platform as a service (PaaS)? Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts (15% of work week).

Predict howspecific markets are developing, help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall positioning

Use the research insights gained to create high quality, clear, actionable, "must-have" papers, presentations, and videos (20% of your work week).

Content is based on research best practices and methodologies
Actively participate in research communities to develop and refine ideas. Provide high quality and timely research content peer review. Be able to help your team develop consensus research positions.

12+ years of relevant field or industry experience, with 5+ years as a member of an IT organization, or as an employee of a vendor focused on ERP.

Experience implementing cloud applications from vendors such as Oracle, Anaplan, SAP, Workday, Microsoft.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with technology executives
ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
Demonstrate superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions
Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments
