Currently, there is an exciting opportunity available as a Customer Service Representative within the Sales division. This role involves a combination of working from home and in the office, reporting to the office in Edmonton, Alberta, under the supervision of the Western Canada Customer Service Manager.

Job Summary

IPEX is in search of a Customer Service professional to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle multiple accounts, collaborate across various levels of the organization, and provide exceptional customer service externally.

Principal Responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative will operate in a fast-paced environment, addressing customer inquiries related to orders, quotes, product inquiries, and stock checks/price. Efficiency and quality customer service are key in this role, as the individual will need to multitask effectively.

  • Respond to inquiries about price, delivery, order status, and technical support
  • Solve delays, service issues, and disputes
  • Enter, track, and release customer orders through various channels like EDI, fax, and phone, using our in-house ERP system
  • Validate customer account details such as pricing, terms, and delivery requirements
  • Monitor back-orders and ensure alignment across production, purchasing, and distribution teams, including preparing quotations
  • Collaborate with other service departments to ensure comprehensive and accurate service delivery
  • Provide technical support by referencing relevant IPEX resources
  • Handle all customer inquiries promptly

Qualifications & experience

  • Display a professional demeanor and a strong commitment to delivering top-tier customer service
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a customer service representative
  • Exceptional time management and follow-up skills, balancing quality and quantity effectively
  • Proficient in computer skills and internet navigation, particularly in Microsoft Office and email
  • Demonstrated ability to address customer problems and complaints efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Team player with a history of contributing positively to team dynamics
  • Prior industry experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
