Position Summary

  • Assist with the monthly finance statement preparation.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic reports, including analysis of hours, performance indicators and monthly financial statements.
  • Assist with the LHIN Hospital Annual Planning submission for the full range of Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital programs and services and the hospital quarterly submission.
  • Provides consultative skills to support clinical and nonclinical projects. Consultation includes the analysis and interpretation of financial, statistical, & clinical information and reporting of the same to various internal customers and external sources.
  • Work collaboratively with Health Records, Registration and Utilization: (i) to provide leadership for developing decision support systems and (ii) to meet the decision support needs of the Program Directors and Department Managers.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with a variety of complex projects.
  • Prepare budgets, quarterly and year end submissions and other reports as required for specifically funded programs
  • Perform audit and data integrity functions
  • Provide orientation/training support
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Finance & Decision Support

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Professional accounting designation is preferred
  • MIS Level 1 and Level 2 is an asset

Experience:

  • Acute care hospital experience
  • Five (5) years experience in a similar position is required

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of MOHLTC policies including HBAM, QBP's, HAPS, H-SAA, MIS guidelines, CIHI requirements
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building, customer service and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated, strong problem solving skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
