Position Scope:

Responsibilities:

  • Steaming of mining & support equipment, with some laborer duties.
  • Assist with additional tasks including general yard clean up, assisting mechanics and steamers and other day to day tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
  • Very physically demanding position in adverse conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Class 3 license with air brakes preferred.
  • It will be expected for a class 3 license to be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Must be able to operate a standard vehicle.
  • Must be a selfstarter, experience operating forklift, bobcat and loader would be an asset.
  • AWP and Fall arrest would be an asset.
  • Access to Suncor, Syncrude and Syncrude Aurora & Kearl.

Summary:

  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  • Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
  • Breath Alcohol Test
  • Urine Drug Test
  • FitnesstoWork Assessment
  • Audiometric Testing
  • Vision Screening
  • Criminal Record Check

This is a union position, you will be required to join the local OE955 union.

  • Copy of recent Driver's Abstract
  • VOID cheque/direct deposit form
  • Silica Awareness
  • Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness
