Summary:
Engage is currently looking for a Construction Services Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee our Construction Services department, providing essential field services to support our design group. This includes surveying, infrastructure inspections, construction oversight, and contract management. As the Manager, you will lead a team of skilled field staff, coordinating their efforts to deliver effective project support. You will also play a key role within the senior leadership team, working alongside Owners and department managers to provide overall leadership and direction.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage Construction Services department, handling tasks such as invoicing, budgeting, and staff management
- Develop annual department budget and revenue goals, tracking progress and adjusting as needed
- Forecast workload demands, assessing staffing needs and hiring additional resources as necessary
- Cultivate client relationships, both existing and new, to drive business growth
- Create and implement a strategic business development plan to meet revenue targets
- Participate in company strategic planning and operational meetings, contributing to decision-making processes
- Mentor junior staff, providing guidance on design and construction best practices
- Conduct performance reviews and establish development goals for team members
- Oversee timesheets, vacation requests, and resource allocation within the department
- Monitor staffing requirements, recruiting and training personnel with support from HR
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer or experienced C.E.T. with a minimum of 5 years in design and construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong time management abilities
- Possession of a valid driver's license and experience in leading technical teams
- Self-motivated, dedicated, and collaborative individual who excels in client interactions
Compensation:
Salary and profit-sharing components based on experience and qualifications. Four weeks of annual leave, increasing with tenure.
