Job Overview

As the Manager of a Quality Engineering POD, you will play a crucial role in promoting excellence and innovation in software testing within the Digital Banking realm. Your main focus will be on establishing and leading a central hub of expertise consisting of 8+ Quality Engineers. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the quality of software testing practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing strategies to improve testing approaches and processes. Additionally, based on business needs, you will oversee people management tasks for your team, including recruitment, coaching, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Develop training programs to enhance the skills of Quality Engineers
  • Assist in defining the strategic direction of the Quality Engineering Enablement POD
  • Standardize testing processes and tools for consistency and effectiveness
  • Implement quality assurance measures to drive continuous improvement
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and lead innovation initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with QA Enablement objectives
  • Define KPIs to measure the impact of QA initiatives
  • Champion change and facilitate the adoption of new testing methodologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of software development testing experience
  • 5+ years of expertise in testing methodologies, tools, and practices
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience in Enterprise Banking or FinTech is preferred
  • Preferred certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE
  • Strategic thinking, communication skills, and ability to lead high-performing teams
  • Experience in agile methodology and change management
