The Opportunity -


The Manager Curriculum is responsible for managing the timely and accurate delivery of online content, modules and learning materials for Ontario students on existing, new and emerging platforms.

They provide the guidance for the educational content design of 's Digital Learning portfolio and work cross-functionally with other teams to inform the creation of innovative, engaging, interactive, rigorous and relevant content.


How you will make an impact

  • Manage the timely and accurate delivery of online content, modules and learning materials for Ontario students on existing, new and emerging platforms.
  • Provide guidance for the educational content design of TVO's Digital Learning portfolio for Ontario students.
  • Work with a crossfunctional team to inform the creation of innovative, engaging, interactive, rigorous and relevant content that is rooted in cutting edge pedagogy.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to optimize content delivery; manage and maintain production standards within budget and scope with crossfunctional team.
  • Ensure content quality and that the final products are errorfree.
  • Review and evaluate product quality for English and French Language online content for Ontario elementary students.
  • Assist crossfunctional team members to support strategic decisions for Ontario elementary students.
  • Report on content development status, challenges, and strategies
  • Maximize efficient allocation of resources, approving contract and purchase requisitions with crossfunctional team.
  • Collaborate with schools and the Ministry on production and curriculum to align content strategy.
  • Present innovative, engaging, interactive, rigorous and relevant content and content delivery that is equitable and inclusive in supporting learners of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Review, provide feedback on content and student experience.
  • Inform and review the creation of online content and digital learning activities including but not limited to outline, learning activity creation, and wireframes for digital components.
  • Support testing of educational content with learner groups
  • Stay abreast of Ministry of Education curriculum changes and priorities.

What you will bring to TVO

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity in an education environment
  • 5+ years of classroom experience in K1 Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • Additional education or training in a related field, e.g. a Masters of Education in Curriculum, or Masters in Educational Technology an asset
  • Proven knowledge of Ontario Curriculum Documents for K1
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging technology for publications including multimedia
  • Applied knowledge of eLearning design principles
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset
  • Experience working in an online learning environment
  • Proven experience deploying content to a Virtual Learning Environment
