Our Asset Lifecycle Management office is looking for an Asset Information Handover Specialist to provide governance to the asset information handover function; support project delivery and asset class teams for handovers; manage handover procedures, processes and tools; maintain the asset information handover specifications embedded in contracts and work towards continually improving the asset information handover process to enable Metrolinx to make informed business decisions and optimize managing assets.


What will I be doing?

  • Interface with key stakeholders in Metrolinx to ensure that the handover process and tools used are understood; and provide recommendations on managing legacy projects.
  • Use the enterprise systems to coordinate asset information hand over and processing; lead enhancements based on feedback received and towards continual improvement.
  • Prepare training material; conduct training on the asset information handover process and tools; and maintain the training modules.
  • Present and maintain asset information handover data in dashboards, charts, graphs and/or tables and build key performance indicators to reflect progress using reporting tools.
  • Manage the process for asset information delivered through new platforms like Building Information Modelling (BIM).
  • Support initiatives with relevant academic institutions, governments, and private sector organizations to exchange information to advance Metrolinx Asset Information Systems.
  • Liaise with asset class teams on handover related matters to support, resolve, gather or share information.
  • Manage and maintain asset information handover specifications for embedding into contracts.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • University degree in Economics, Business, Information Management, Asset Management, or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Minimum six (6) years' experience in asset information handover, including but not limited to: document management systems, maintenance management systems; geographical information systems; customer service systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of: ISO Asset Management will be considered as an asset
  • Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge using Building Information Modelling will be considered an asset
