Senior Associate, Fund Accountant Private Equity

Description

Apex Group Americas is looking for a skilled Senior Fund Accountant in Private Equity to join our inclusive and collaborative team. This Mississauga-based full-time Private Equity Accountant role offers an attractive salary and benefits package, along with a work-life balance which works for you and welcomes candidates looking for career flexibility.

The Senior Fund Accountant will perform and coordinate a variety of administrative duties and tasks, including asset administration, maintenance, and reconciliation. You will liaise with 3rd party brokers/custodians/agents and prepare and apply for various reports required by internal teams.

Job Specification:

  • Liaising with 3rd party brokers, custodians, and agents
  • Processing agent notices and corporate actions
  • Entering and settling trades as required
  • Preparing and assisting with various reports required by internal teams
  • Preparing daily reconciliation of cash transactions and daily reconciliation of Apex/Client positions

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and the ability to manage complex accounting structures are required to apply for this Senior Fund Accountant position.
  • Self-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and project.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of Fund Administration (Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund accounting) (advantageous)
  • CPA/MBA/Master's Degree (advantageous)
  • Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements and/or subsequent closes (advantageous)
