We are looking for a skilled Trust Fund Accountant to be part of our BPA team located in Mississauga.
The Trust Fund Accountant Role:
  • Prepare journals and keep GL transactions up-to-date;
  • Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts;
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
  • Handle government remittances;
  • Monitor cash flow and execute bank transfers for surplus funds investment;
  • Generate necessary reports such as cash flow and investment reports for clients;
  • Assist in annual audits through the preparation of working papers;
  • Address client queries and manage daily accounting tasks for clients.
Requirements for the Trust Fund Accountant:
  • Minimum of 3 years of office experience focused on accounting;
  • Proficiency in full-cycle accounting;
  • Business administration College or University Diploma with an accounting focus;
  • Strong computer skills, especially in MS Excel, MS Office at an intermediate to advanced level;
  • Excellent math skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business degree or its equivalent;
  • Pursuing CPA certification is a bonus;
  • 3 years of experience in corporate accounting.
