This is a 12-month mandate in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.


The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 14 countries and 3 regions over a seven-year period The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality.

Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights.

Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.

Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country team members, your mandate will be to:

  • Strengthen the capacities of the Oxfam team in Honduras and the local partner organizations according to their respective needs, including gender equality;
  • Support the team with the implementation of training workshops to promote sexually responsible behavior;
  • Support the team with their activities to promote sexual and reproductive rights and prevent risky sexual behavior;
  • Conduct training workshops to develop the knowledge of the team and the partner organizations on concepts related to sex, gender, sexual diversity and sexual orientation.

For this mandate you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in psychology, sexology, or any other relevant field;
  • Have 5 years of relevant experience regarding this mandate;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Master the Office Suite.

El mandato es parte del Programa de Cooperación Voluntaria (PCV) de Igualdad en Acción, que se ejecuta en 14 países y 3 regiones durante un período de siete años

En estrecha colaboración con los miembros del equipo de Oxfam en el país, su mandato consistirá en:

  • Reforzar las capacidades del equipo de Oxfam en Honduras y de las organizaciones socias locales en función de sus respectivas necesidades, especialmente sobre el tema de igualdad de género;
  • Apoyar al equipo en la realización de talleres de formación para promover comportamientos sexualmente responsables;
  • Apoyar al equipo en sus actividades de promoción de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos y de prevención de comportamientos sexuales de riesgo;
  • Dirigir talleres de formación para desarrollar las capacidades del equipo y de las organizaciones asociadas sobre conceptos relacionados con el sexo, el género, la diversidad sexual y la orientación sexual.

Para este mandato usted debe:

  • Ser ciudadano.a canadiense o tener la condición de residente permanente en
Canadá;

  • Tener un título universitario en psicología, sexología, o cualqier otro campo pertinente;
  • Tener al menos 5 años de experiência pertinente para este mandato;
  • Poseer el dominio del español, hablado y escrito (obligatorio);
  • Poseer el dominio de Microsoft Office.
