We are looking for passionate Production Assistants to join the kitchen team at our Frances St location


This is a seasonal position with a contract through to the end of October, and the opportunity for extension based on personal performance and staffing needs.


About Us:


Since we launched in 2012, our goal has been to create ice cream that expresses our passions for flavour and creativity, and to run a business that embodies our values.

What started out as two friends with an ice cream tricycle at the Vancouver Farmers Markets has now grown into four scoop shops, an ice cream truck, retailers around Metro Vancouver and an amazing team of hardworking humans.

Key position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Batch prepping for ice cream bases
  • Baking, prepping and portioning ice cream inclusions
  • Filling pint jars
  • Maintaining a clean and FoodSafe kitchen
  • Equipment set up, maintenance, tear down, and cleaning
  • Moving and organizing inventory
  • Quality control

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Availability for 7 AM 3 PM and 12 PM 8 PM shifts 45 days/week, Monday through Saturday with the occasional Sunday
  • Comfortable working in cold environments
  • Must be aware of and comfortable with the physical nature of this job; including lifting (20 kg), repetitive movement, and standing for long periods of time
  • Must have the following by first shift: FoodSafe, First Aid, kitchen shoes

  • Disposable masks are provided
  • Increased handwashing on shift is highly recommended

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The starting wage for this position is $17.50/hour with room for growth based on experience
