About us:
Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world-inspired food from the best possible ingredients and wrapping them in delicious fresh tortillas. We have since grown into four restaurants and three food trucks across the Lower Mainland and Victoria.


We are successful because we believe in staying true to where we came from, serving high-quality creative food with the best possible ingredients, adapting to and giving back to the communities we operate in and have teams made up of fantastic individuals.

About you:

We are growing and have an opportunity for a great person who is looking to join our team as a Kitchen Hand.

Schedule:

Day Shift: 9am-5pm

Evening Shift: 2pm-10pm

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure all food produced in the Prep Kitchen is packaged effectively for storage and transport to all Tacofino locations
  • Follow company procedures and standards
  • Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
  • Inspect, weigh and package products
  • Monitor flow of product into processing machinery
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure product orders are packed and labelled properly
  • Ensure that product is rotated properly in storage
  • Communicate effectively with delivery and production team

Qualifications:

  • No previous kitchen experience required
  • Food Safe level 1 an asset (but if you don't have it, we will get it for you)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business
  • Ability to multitask
