Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Near Conklin, AB

Duration: 12-Month contract initially

Rotation: 7 days work, 7 days off, 12-hour shifts



Description:

As an Health & Safety Advisor, reporting to the Team Lead H&S Major Projects, you will provide expertise and ensure consistent application of policies and standards at the field level. This role involves being a role model for H&S, providing guidance, and fostering strong relationships within the team.

Experience various project locations as part of the Major Projects team. Details will be shared during the interview process.



Responsibilities:


• Provide direct support to client's teams on OHS Legislation, industry standards, and H&S program components.

• Coach and advise on programs, processes, and standards.

• Assist in aligning strategy with organizational priorities.

• Review safety documents and contractor performance.

• Ensure H&S planning aligns with business strategy.

• Communicate H&S information effectively to stakeholders.

• Uphold safe performance with Operational Integrity Management System.

• Collaborate to improve knowledge management and share best practices.

• Stay updated on emerging H&S issues and legislation.



Qualifications:


• Must have the right to work in Canada.

• 5+ years of experience in Oil and Gas, preferably in Major Projects and H&S.

• OH&S Education e.g., NCSO, CRSP, or CRST.

• Strong technical knowledge of Health & Safety management systems.

• Ability to make decisions under pressure and seek innovative solutions.
