THE POSITION

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Host and execute ingame content as outlined by Game Presentation staff.
  • Engage fans to participate in contesting and live promotions.
  • Provide an entertaining and exciting voice to the Calgary Flames to work alongside a PA Announcer.
  • Conduct live interviews with special guests, celebrities, team alumni, etc.
  • Opportunity to represent the Calgary Flames at community events as a host.
  • Host sponsor events around the City of Calgary in partnership with the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation.
  • Active participation in the Safety Program and follow all safety rules.
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

  • Prior experience with public speaking and performing in a hosting role.
  • Working knowledge of the Calgary Flames, NHL and the game of hockey.
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking ability.
  • Must be comfortable performing in front of large crowds and in front of a camera.
  • Ability to improvise and quickly respond to last minute requests.
  • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Background in performing arts, broadcasting and acting is preferred.
