Overview

The Technology Risk Services team is expanding, and we are seeking Senior Consultants to join us in Toronto. This team offers various services to our clients, focusing on IT risk reviews, internal audit support, data governance, system asset management, IT projects, and broader information security topics. Senior Consultants will also play a role in training new campus hires.

What you will do

  • Conduct IT risk and control assessments for internal and external audit engagements related to data governance, IT projects, system implementations, and more.
  • Support assessments for information security topics and IT General Controls.
  • Keep abreast of relevant technology risk standards and practices.
  • Develop risk and control matrices and review procedures.
  • Provide advice on business process controls.
  • Manage engagement risks and deliver multiple client projects efficiently.
  • Participate in business development activities to enhance the firm's services.
  • Deliver services including research, technical testing, report writing, and client communication.
  • Guide field engagement teams, coach junior staff, and mentor them.

What you bring to the role

The successful candidate should have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, ISO27001).
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in assessing IT or business process risk.
  • Strong knowledge of IT General Controls and audits like SOC 1, ISO.
  • Experience with data governance, system asset management, IT projects, and IT governance.
  • Experience testing controls in various IT environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of business and audit risks.
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and willingness to travel.
