Position Overview:

Calian is looking for Intermediate Technician for a Fuel Laboratory in Gatineau.

    Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to the section or the development of other ISO 17025, training and/or information management; proposing suitable procedures and appropriate recommendations in order to improve work quality
  • Plan and organize work to meet deadlines. Analyze, evaluate and resolve technical problems in a logical manner
  • Draft and maintain SOPs associated with ISO 17025 certification
  • Draft general correspondence and provide briefings in order to communicate issues, resolve problems, update work status, and disseminate information
  • Coordinate quality system audits and assist in the performance of quality system audits

Qualifications:

  • Must currently hold or be eligible for Secret
  • Level II Clearance with the Government of Canada
  • College certificate in analytical chemistry or 9 years of experience in the past 15 as a technician performing chemical analysis
  • Four years of experience in providing advice and direction on regulations, acquisition and control of petroleum, oil, fuels, and lubricants related to but not limited to aviation
  • One year of experience in coordinating the field audits and assisting in the performance of field audits at fueling facilities
