| About the Role

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) plays an integral role within Payments Canada.

As EPMO Analyst, you will be a key member of an EPMO team working to successfully transform Payments Canada strategy and goals into realized projects and programs that create value to Payments Canada and its ecosystem.

The EPMO manages Payments Canada projects and programs covering a variety of scope including business and technology transformation and process improvement.


Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio and Governance, the EPMO Analyst will be charged with ensuring that our projects and programs follow established framework and methodology, and will be instrumental in ongoing maintenance of the EPMO playbook and other process-specific collateral.

This role is also responsible for administering our EPMO tool Smartsheet and will support continuous improvements of EPMO's Smartsheet solution.

| What You'll Do

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Conducting quality reviews of project schedules and work with project managers to address findings;
  • Responsible for carrying out ongoing quality checks on whether the artifacts included in the project schedules align with those defined in the Payments Canada Delivery Methodology;
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving reports, dashboards and templates in our project management software tool, Smartsheet and templates in Google Drive;
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving data and reports through our resource management tool, Resource Management by Smartsheet;
  • Designing and preparing reports to ensure that most important information is available to decision makers across different levels of EPMO governance;
  • Analyzing project data to identify areas of improvement;
  • Working with various source data systems (e.g. Board software, Dayforce, ServiceNow, JIRA), pull data together, conduct validation and sanity checks, look for discrepancies, and organize data in a way that permits effective analysis;
  • Support onboarding of new EPMO team members by providing education, training and support on various business and project processes;
  • Providing administrative support for EPMO as needed.
| Minimum Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in a relevant field such as project management, business, or computer science;
  • 24 years of experience in project coordination and administration;
  • Knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools;
  • Ability to analyze a range of complex data and make decisions based on analytical findings;
  • Knowledge of project management software tools, such as Smartsheet or MS Project;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 designation are considered assets;
  • Valid criminal records check or eligible to obtain;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset;
  • Experience working on business, security, and/or technical transformation initiatives is considered an asset.
| Salary Range

Based on qualifications and experience:
$76,501 and $95,626
