Join our team to help shape the future of energy in Ontario. We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead a team of real estate experts responsible for securing rights for our capital projects.

General Accountabilities:

  • Provide quality real estate services for Hydro One's business
  • Enhance the value of the Corporation's assets
  • Develop and execute real estate acquisitions strategy
  • Manage a team of experts acquiring rights for new and existing projects
  • Oversee project portfolios
  • Present reports to executive management
  • Represent Hydro One at the Ontario Energy Board

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Develop real estate programs that contribute to business strategies
  • Mentor and empower staff for optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with agreements and resolve HR issues
  • Provide leadership and set priorities for work programs
  • Ensure effective management systems for health and safety

Direct Output/Delegated Direct Output:

  • Manage acquisition programs and projects
  • Negotiate with landowners and government entities
  • Maintain documentation of activities
  • Develop resource delivery models
  • Administer contracts and ensure service delivery
  • Manage budgets and respond to external issues

Managerial Accountabilities:

  • Achieve targeted results by maintaining a capable team
  • Assess and improve processes for output
  • Counsel and mentor subordinate managers

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in real estate
  • Experience in budget management
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership in infrastructure projects
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration
  • IRWA Certification or Real Property Administrator Designation

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is a bonus
