Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities while ensuring their safety and well-being.

You will apply nursing processes, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, as well as educate, counsel, and advocate for patients and families.

You will play a leadership role in promoting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health maintenance.

Safe, quality patient and family-centered care is essential, aligning with AHS's vision and values.

PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders will receive a specific rate of pay. Upon registration as a Registered Nurse, the pay will be adjusted accordingly.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • If no nursing practice within the last 5 years, completion of specified free courses is mandatory.
Additional Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of PICU orientation, passing comprehensive and medication exams.

Successful pass of the Stollery Interview Medication Exam.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric Critical Care experience.
  • Pediatric experience.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
