From our iconic Polynesian-themed Tiki Bar and venues Tabu and the Hideaway to our retro hotel rooms,
The Waldorf has you stepping back in time to relive different eras of Vancouver.

Hotel at the Waldorf is an experience to be explored with a sense of whimsy and a relaxed attitude.

We are looking for a
General Manager to help lead the team at our
Waldorf location.

The ideal person will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service, many years of experience in a Restaurant Manager position and a deep knowledge of wine and cocktails.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the restaurant including sales, fiscal operations, accounting, recruitment, and maintenance of the building and equipment.
  • Hire, mentor and guide the team to achieve success both personally and professionally.
  • Responsible for managing the revenue with the goal being to exceed budget and preserve costeffectiveness and profitability in agreement with company policies.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the corporate office and should have the ability to follow corporate office financial procedures, including but not restricted to; handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and all other financial transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in a management position and proven ability to manage and maintain the highest service standards.
  • Decisionmaking skills, process improvement, strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability, and quality focus.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and cocktails with a min WSET
  • Proven ability to grow the business, increase sales and drive traffic, all while improving the guest experience.
  • Ability to lead and manage restaurant staff for daily operations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
