Air Supervisor

RJ MacLean is focused on delivering project plans that realize waste reduction during, and upon completion of the oilfield tank cleaning.

RJM provides solutions beyond the oil field tank cleaning process such as the recovery of valuable hydrocarbons from tank bottoms, solids reduction, recycling of process water, chemical treatments, and in some cases recovery of diluent.

The air supervisor will act at times as a project manager to ensure all labour, equipment and other resources are allocated for the confined space entry phase of out tank cleaning projects.

When the air supervisor is not on an active project they will be working out of our Stony Plain location to clean & maintain equipment as needed.

Should there be times when there is no air/rescue services needed this position will assist our core business of cleaning tanks in various positions.

• Schedule and arrange transportation of all labour, equipment & other materials needed to complete projects
• Collaborate with our core business project managers on project details needed
• Ensure all field personnel are following all our policies, processes & procedures
• Ensure our sea can compressor are being used and maintained in a safe manor
• Create and maintain a great relationship with our clients on site
• Oversee the confined space entry and rescue operations
• Manage small projects.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and positive workplace for those they are supervising
• Check and validate all employee tickets and competency for required tasks, according to RJ Maclean HSE Policy
• Refill our air pods using our sea can compressor
• Liaise with customers, general contractors, and the public.
• Manage budget's for items such as labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
• Participate in company safety training including WHMIS, TDG, Power Tool Safety, Harassment Prevention, OH&S Standard and Regulation Awareness, Incident Investigation, and other courses as deemed necessary.
• Ensure that this division sticks to its strategy of best people & best equipment
• Participate in other general tasks
• Engage in Vendor pricing & discount initiatives
• Small Tools & Inventory count and reconciliation
• Ensure all personnel is 100% compliant in work hub prior to working
• Complete monthly vehicle mileage and Equipment hour review and tracking

• 4 or more years of work experience in a related field
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment (Skid Steer, Forklift, Zoom Boom, etc.)
• Valid driver's license (NSC Driver)
• Strong understanding of Scott SCBA & SCBA equipment
• Strong understanding of high angle rescue techniques
• Strong understanding of Bauer compressors
• Ability to participate in continuous improvement processes
• Good observation skills
• Able to follow safe procedures and follow instruction
• Strong attention to detail
