1 temporary full-time position for 8 months intended specifically for students currently enrolled in Engineering, Business, Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related co-op or equivalent post-secondary work experience degree program, commencing in May 2024_**Join the Service Innovation and Performance Branch and get involved in challenging projects and activities.

During the course of your term, you will be working with the Monitoring and Analysis team of the Business Intelligence and Analytics section, primarily on updating/creating comprehensive Standard Operating and Safety Procedures, mapping processes, conducting benchmarking surveys, documenting, and writing reports.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with mobility data, operational and safety procedures, research, analysis, documentation, and report writing.


As a part of the team, you will:

  • Update Standard Operating and Safety Procedures (SOSPs) for the installations and uninstallation of different mobility data collection technologies
  • Develop instructional videos of data collection technology installation and uninstallation to enhance understanding and complement written SOSPs
  • Create onboarding documents for new staff, including for seasonal field staff responsible for the installation and uninstallation of data collection technologies
  • Conduct a benchmarking survey and jurisdictional scan across various municipalities, analyze data collection management practices, and synthesize the findings into a comprehensive report
  • Compile a comprehensive report outlining the strategic plan for the monitoring team
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in Engineering, Business, Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management or related coop or equivalent postsecondary work experience degree program
  • Experience with research, conducting surveys, and gathering and analyzing data and information
  • Experience using the Google Workplace Applications (such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and draw.

Assets:

  • Experience in video production and editing to develop highquality and engaging instructional videos
  • Experience using ArcGIS suite of tools such as Survey123, Workforce, and dashboard
  • Experience using Google AppSheet
