  • Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor level shelves and able to reach upper shelves with use of a stool or a ladder when necessary
  • Valid 'G' Ontario driver's license
  • Police vulnerable sector check (required upon hire)
  • Legally able to work in Canada
Preferred

Job Synopsis

  • This salaried fulltime position is responsible for overseeing the retail and workroom areas related to furniture, the volunteers working with furniture and furniture pickups and deliveries.

The Furniture Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and modeling a high level of customer service through training and mentoring volunteers and staff who pick-up and deliver furniture.

Demonstrating a positive attitude whilst providing active, hands-on management support to volunteers as they relate to the various aspects of the furniture area and key areas of focus.

The Furniture Coordinator schedules and supervises volunteers for processing furniture, key areas of focus as well as those assisting on the truck for pick-ups and deliveries.

The Furniture Coordinator supervises Furniture focused Associates.

The Furniture Coordinator will support and work closely with the staff team - in the workroom ensuring understanding of what furniture is acceptable and with the Retail Coordinator ensuring key categories are processed and displayed on the retail floor.
