We are actively looking for a VP of Brand and Marketing Communications for a Non-for-profit organization in the sports industry.

The Vice President of Brand, Marketing & Communications plays a crucial role in enhancing public awareness for a global movement that supports sports. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is responsible for developing and executing integrated brand strategies, marketing initiatives, and communication campaigns to amplify the organization's mission and impact.

The Vice President leads a team of three and must have a proven ability to motivate, collaborate, and mentor. As an ambassador for the organization, daily interactions should embody the brand and inspire the entire team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive brand and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of messaging across all communication channels.
  • Oversee all owned, earned, and paid media initiatives to maximize visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate brand strategy into all operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with sponsors, media outlets, and stakeholders to enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide strategic support for fundraising efforts aligning with brand values.
  • Develop and implement communications and public relations strategies to enhance the organization's reputation.
  • Cultivate relationships with media contacts to secure earned media opportunities.
  • Direct digital media efforts for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Effective budget management and strategic leadership for the Marketing & Communications Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing, and communications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams.
  • Experience in developing and executing national strategic communications and media relations campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing skills across various mediums.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.
  • Passion for the positive impact of sports on individuals.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
