Our building at 30 Victoria Street in Gatineau is in the heart of downtown. It has modern facilities, with collaborative work spaces, indoor parking and several restaurants nearby. The immediate intention of this process is to staff two (2) positions.

A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions at Elections Canada with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting or casual) and a bilingual imperative linguistic profile (CBC/CBC).

Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.

They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.

Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.

They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above.


EXP1:
Significant* experience managing the delivery of IT services to multiple clients.

EXP3:

Experience providing strategic advice, recommendations, and presentations to senior executives (senior director and above) in support of business imperatives.


EXP5:
Experience engaging, fostering solid client relationships, and building consensus among various stakeholders.

  • ASSET EXPERIENCES

AEXP1:

Significant* experience in IT product lifecycle management including leading the development, maintenance and implementation off the shelf applications (COTS) and systems.


AEXP2 :
Significant* experience in IT product lifecycle management including leading the development, maintenance and implementation of custom developed systems.
Experience managing database management services or reporting or analytics capability.

AEXP5:
Significant* experience managing IM/IT information transformation and innovation projects and initiatives.

Experience of a minimum of two (2) years in application development life cycle and continuous process improvement with DevOps or other relevant processes.

Bilingual Imperative – Level equal or higher than CBC/CBC

KNOWLEDGE ASSETS
Knowledge of application development life cycle and continuous process improvement such as DevOps.
