P&D Driver (On-Call/Temporary/Part-Time) - North Bay, ON
To be considered for this role, you must have a good driving record and a minimum G class license. You also must possess written and verbal communication skills.

Major Activities and Responsibilities

  • This position is Temporary /On-Call with no guaranteed hours or route assignments
  • Cover Vacations/Sick Days/Overflow, on call if needed
  • Monday to Friday, starting time is 8:00am (average 010 hours)
  • Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper's own barcoded labels must be scanned
  • Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and Canpar Express Inc.
  • Be familiar with areas North of Temagami and as far as Kirkland Lake.
  • Ability & willingness to drive in rural areas, inclement weather, winter conditions
  • Pick up of all assigned customer pickups within the specific guidelines of the Customers and Canpar Express Inc.
  • Compile and submit accurate route records on a daily basis

Accountabilities/Results

  • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Professional representation of Canpar Express Inc. at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicle, uniform, etc.
  • Ontime pickup and delivery of customer shipments
  • Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams

Terms and conditions

  • Must be 18 years or older with a full G for at least 18 months
  • No more than 3 demerit points in the last 24 months
  • Delivery Driver experience
  • Excelled area knowledge of Northern Ontario.
  • Ability to operate commercial equipment
  • Criminal record check required
