Job Title: Moving Truck Driver

Join Macdonald Mighty Movers as a skilled Moving Truck Driver and contribute to the success of our logistics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Mountain Driving: Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving to ensure safe transportation of goods.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Payment and Receipt: Pay and receive payments for goods transported.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
