JOB SUMMARY


Takes care of logistics and customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, supporting delivery personnel, handling complaints, all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.

Responsibilities also include answering the phone, and other clerical duties requested by the supervisor.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Route creation, distribution and support to delivery people on the road (monitoring).
  • Follow up on orders and notify the banners of any activity related to their merchandise.
  • Correct inventory errors and communicate daily with the client and the operations team to address various issues.
  • Provide proof of shipment to the customer if required.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients by responding to all their requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Prepare various reports for the management team
  • Control all documents associated with orders
  • Coordinate the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve delivery time and productivity objectives.
  • Participate in the implementation of work procedures developed jointly with operations, transport, and customer service.
  • Assumes responsibility for ontime shipments as prioritized by customer ensuring daily workload is executed well.
  • Responsible for organizing in the most efficient way possible the receipt and shipment of merchandise to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor productivity levels of operations and communicate problems to supervisor.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment.
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION:

  • Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent business administration experience is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Related logistics experience would be an asset
  • Experience with Outlook and Excel would be an asset
