Job Title: Operations SupervisorResponsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to operations personnel to ensure timely task completion.
  • Supervise manufacturing and packaging activities following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Supervise unionized hourly staff across rotating shifts.
  • Lead efforts to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in daily meetings and oversee production schedules.
  • Provide training on safety, equipment handling, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Inspect machinery for safety and cleanliness, and address production issues.
  • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve common objectives.
  • Work on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Manage material inventories and shipping documentation.
  • Uphold Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Review hourly payroll, attendance policies, and time off requests.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education in a relevant discipline and operations management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in a production environment.
  • Experience in SOP writing and GMP compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends.
