SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is seeking a Supervisor, Metallurgy.

About Your New Role:

As the Supervisor, Metallurgy reporting to the Superintendent, Mill Operations, you will oversee the operational aspects of the Assay Laboratory. Your role includes managing all laboratory functions, ensuring accurate analyses and reporting of samples.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Assaying team.
• Train and empower Assay Lab employees to excel in their roles.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely sample assays.
• Analyze ore samples to determine grade and mineral properties.
• Develop standard assay procedures for staff.
• Maintain and operate key analytical equipment.
• Collaborate with external vendors on equipment maintenance.
• Recommend improvements for meeting production targets.
• Explore and implement new technologies for assay operations.
• Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with regulations.
• Manage Assay Laboratory inventory and orders.
• Prepare regular reports on production and safety.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong commitment to safety.
• Expertise in mineral processing.

• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in data processing and database management.

Your Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Assaying diploma.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in an assay lab.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.

About Our Working Conditions:

This role follows a schedule of 14 days on, 14 days off at our remote camp. Transportation is provided from pick-up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
