SSR Mining - Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Sample Prep Technician.

About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Assay Lab, the Sample Prep Technician, will be responsible for carrying out procedures in the laboratory to perform all mine, mill, and metallurgy assays.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation of all incoming samples.- Preparation of all samples prior to assay procedure.- Maintenance of sample preparation equipment.- Maintenance of sample furnaces.- Monitoring and maintaining adequate reagents and supplies requirements.- Ensuring work areas in the Assay Lab are kept tidy and organized.- Ensures all procedures are done accurately and in accordance with established lab procedure.- Maintain a safe and productive work environment to ensure the wellbeing of all lab personnel.- Wear required personal protective equipment to maximize employee safety and minimize sample contamination.

Your Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication skills to understand verbal instructions and to relay maintenance concerns.- A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.

Your Education and Experience:
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.- Experience in an assay lab an asset.

About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
