Position Overview

Provide in-depth analysis on health workforce issues, remuneration, incentive design, and related concepts for the delivery of insured health services. Conduct research on factors influencing the demand and supply of health workforce. Develop strategic recommendations and position papers to support health human resource planning. Offer costing of negotiation positions and various planning options. Lead or participate in working groups related to health human resource planning and negotiations.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in policy and program analysis related to health human resources planning, including health workforce remuneration/incentives.
  • Experience in research, analysis, and costing for collective bargaining and negotiations.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, business administration, finance, or public administration. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Combination of relevant post-secondary degree with a diploma/certificate will be considered.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be evaluated.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current registration with regulatory body if required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of current health care provider issues.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, costing, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Ability to explain technical work to non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Capacity to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Skill in synthesizing and analyzing information.
  • Ability to cultivate and enhance partnerships.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of working safely in a computerized office environment with occasional physical tasks.
  • May need to lift and carry items up to approximately 25 pounds.
  • Adapt to interruptions for executive questions and partner interactions.
