Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Analyst to provide research, analytical, and data analysis support for provincial Health Human Resource (HHR) planning activities.

Job Description

The Workforce Analyst will provide research and data analysis for the development of service utilization workforce models, analyzing current and projected healthcare service utilization to predict workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide research and data analysis to support the development of workforce models
  • Analyze current and projected healthcare service utilization to predict workforce needs
  • Support the development, tracking, and reporting of provincial and regional workforce metrics
  • Conduct research and analysis to develop position papers in support of health human resource planning initiatives
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in information analysis and reporting, dashboard development, data management, and the promotion of data quality and integrity
  • 3 years of experience working with large or complex data sets, preferably health administrative, clinical, or financial data systems
  • 3 years of experience in leading projects, conducting research, developing options, and formulating recommendations
  • 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis involving modeling, forecasting, and data visualization
Education and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline, including economics, statistics, epidemiology, computer science, mathematics, and business administration
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience performing data retrieval and transformation, including SQL
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages, such as SAS and SPSS, and knowledge of programming languages, such as R and Python
